WELCOME
It is time to make space to understand & prioritise yourself

About Me
I am a qualified counsellor with a Bachelor of Social Science (Counselling) and have spent the past 15 years supporting youth and families in a school-based environment. I am deeply passionate about providing support for managing behaviour issues, improving and maintaining mental health and developing coping mechanisms and supporting harmonious relationships between parents, and their children. In times of crisis, transition, or everyday life, I believe everyone should have access to affordable counselling services and that parents should feel empowered to seek support. My approach to therapy is centred around respect, empathy, trust and strategies that enable change and growth. Working as an integrative therapist means I draw from a variety of psychological approaches that best suit the individual needs of the parents, partners, and children and youth I work with. I work compassionately and flexibly to provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space for people from all walks of life. Letting yourself be vulnerable with a stranger can be scary, and I commend you for taking the first step and I look forward to sharing my space with you.
The Method
"It is your journey to choose and direct"
My approach
My expertise is working with youth and parents to navigate varying issues in both the school and home environment. I am passionate about empowering parents and their children and equipping them with constructive strategies to manage conflict, communicate in a mutually respectful way and ensure school positivity and attendance.
I am passionate about supporting young people to thrive by enabling them to boost self-confidence and self-esteem, help build a sense of purpose, and foster connection with others. People engaged in learning report feeling better about themselves and a greater ability to cope with stress, as well has feeling more self-confidence, hope and purpose.
You may choose to attend parenting counselling alone, with your partner, or with your child, in order to effectively work through the issues facing your family. I can work alongside you, to better understand your child or teenager and their developmental stage, and identify strategies to support you in this challenging role as a parent. You will learn constructive ways to manage the issues and conflicts that parenting brings, enabling you to forge a more positive relationship with your child or teenager. Identifying ways to communicate more effectively and deal with conflict proactively are paramount to achieving a positive and harmonious family unit.
When working with individuals, I draw from a variety of psychological approaches that best suit the individual needs of the client. I work compassionately and flexibly to provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space for people from all walks of life.
